Inglés para Emergencias en el Hotel — Frases que Pueden Salvar una Vida
Tu inglés casual para dar direcciones está bien para situaciones normales. Pero en una emergencia, las palabras incorrectas, el pánico o la confusión pueden costar vidas. Este es el inglés que importa. Estos son los escenarios y frases que TODO miembro del equipo de hotel debe saber sin pensarlo.
1. Emergencia Médica
Llamada inicial: ‘We have a medical emergency in room 407. Please send an ambulance immediately.’ El paciente está consciente/inconsciente. ‘He/She is breathing/not breathing.’ Al huésped enfermo: ‘Try to stay calm. Help is coming.’ ‘Can you tell me what hurts?’ ‘Are you on any medications?’ ‘Do you have allergies?’
2. Reacción Alérgica Severa
‘Do you have an Epipen?’ ‘Where is it?’ ‘Call the ambulance — anaphylaxis emergency.’ ‘Which food/substance caused this?’
3. Incendio
‘Fire! Everyone evacuate immediately!’ ‘Do not use elevators.’ ‘Use the stairs.’ ‘Go to the assembly point in the parking lot.’ ‘Take your room key.’
4. Robo o Crimen
‘A room has been broken into.’ ‘Nothing is missing/items are missing.’ ‘A guest has been assaulted.’ Nunca persijas al criminal: ‘For your safety, stay in your room and lock the door.’
5. Turista Perdido

6. Problemas de Deportación/Documentos

7. Llamando a Ambulancia

10. Comunicación Clara en Crisis
Regla de oro: Habla lentamente. Usa frases simples. Repite información importante. Escribe información (teléfono, dirección) si es posible. Nunca disminuyas la severidad de una emergencia.
